Mr Freeman was incredibly professional throughout the whole process from the first appointment with him, my foot operation and achilles lengthening and then follow up reviews. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and was very clear and concise about what needed to be done to rectify it. He explained things clearly and put me at ease. I felt like I was his only patient!
The actual operation was a great success and the work was carried to a very high standard so much so I went back for the second foot operation with him!
I would highly recommend this Consultant and am delighted with the results of the operation.

Dr Freeman has a pleasant manner that put me at ease. I felt very listened to and understood as to what I wanted surgery to achieve. Surgery and recovery went really smoothly and achieved the surgery aims.

I have never had a better medical experience that the one I experienced with Mr Freeman. He explained the procedure he would be doing to both me and my wife and answered all the questions we asked in a thoughtful and caring manner. We booked an appointment and all was just as described. I went in early, had the Op and was discharged later that day. I could not have asked for better or faster care. We had follow up appointments to check my condition and he explained everything that was happening in a thoughtful and caring manner.
I would HIGHLY recommend Mr Richard Freeman, as a great doctor and a caring man.

Mr. Richard Freeman has been totally informative and professional during my period of injury, care and recovery, including half a dozen consulting meetings (pre and post-op), an MRI scan and an operation. As soon as I walked into his consulting room he diagnosed my condition, despite 3 Separate Physiotherapists and 2 Osteopaths haven g misdiagnosed my condition.
he carried out a left ankle Arthroscopy and lateral ligament reconstruction with an internal brace.
I was pain free within 2 days of the operation and have been walking on this ankle without any aid after 4 weeks.
He is a brilliant surgeon.

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with sub-specialist training in both Foot & Ankle surgery and Major Trauma.
My elective practice includes all aspects for foot and ankle surgery including minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy and total ankle replacement. I have a particular interest in sports injuries and have fellowship experience of managing professional athletes.
I am the principle surgeon for foot an ankle trauma in Brighton and frequently manage referrals from across the South Coast including complex deformity and bone infection cases.
